Dear CESJDS Community,
Events/Visitors - To reduce the spread of the virus, we have suspended all group gatherings and events beyond individual class sessions. We will be limiting the number of visitors on campus for health reasons, including very limited access for parents and guardians. We will share further details in a later communication.
Cafeterias - Physical distancing and other health measures dictate that our cafeterias will not be able to serve lunches from the serving bays, and that only small groups will be able to eat together. In place of our usual lunch program, our food service will be limited to pre-ordered boxed lunches. We will share information about the boxed-lunch program later in the summer. Students and employees may continue to bring bag lunches from home if preferred.
Health Screening - Screenings are a critical component of community protection. The School will require that all students and employees submit self-screening data each day they are on campus prior to arriving. Anyone with a temperature at or above 100.0 degrees, or exhibiting other symptoms will need to stay home. We will a separate email on how you will be able to submit your screening information via an app-based solution.
Cleaning/Hygiene - CESJDS will enhance sanitation and disinfecting protocols throughout the day and after school hours. During the school day, teachers and students will have ample access to hand sanitizer and surface disinfectants. Faculty and staff will be trained on new health and safety protocols upon their return to campus. As always, our full time registered nurses will be present on each campus and will have implemented measures to address any health needs for the students.
Partnership with Families - Given that maintaining the wearing of face coverings, physical distancing, and hand washing significantly reduces the incidence of transmission, we are asking that all of the CESJDS community be mindful of your level of potential exposure to the virus. We know that many families plan to enjoy the summer locally and may also be traveling outside the area. We ask that you please follow public health guidelines as closely as possible prior to and during the school year. We are all in this together.
We have instituted all of the above safety measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and to create a healthy environment on our campuses. We continue to consult with health experts as we consider any additional measures we will take. As always, please be in touch with us if you have questions or concerns.
Warm Regards,
